A long farewell.

We've been saying farewell for a long time.  We've been "leaving" for a long time.  A really long time.  We started our visiting and farewells with a road trip to TX the first week of April to visit our family and friends and meet new twin nephews.  Our family is incredibly important to us, so seeing everyone we could before we leave is really important.  We took a road trip to IL to see more family.  The rest of our visiting has been all in MI (where most of K's family either lives or comes in to visit every summer).  Usually both of K's sisters and their 5 boys (combined) come in all at once, but this summer, their visits were split up due to scheduling conflicts.  (There are other posts with pictures from the above visits.)

M and cousin W on a wagon ride at Papa's farm.  The boys are only 9 days apart.

Twin boys H and C have no fear and are LOADS of fun.  Electric fences were turned off.

The twins loving playing outside.

Again.

W rolling down the hill at the farm.

The kids minus two at the park with the great-grandparents.  We're so blessed to still have ALL of our grandparents.

Our farewells were many when we left Ft. Wayne for good a few days ago.  We've lived in FW for four years and the friends that we've made have become like family.   Our children have developed their first friendships (outside of family).  They will be greatly missed.  We had a picnic at a local park for all the kids to play (some aren't pictured, they are busy little critters), had some dinners with friends and even a breakfast with others.  We are blessed by them!

My good friend C and her sweet sugar MK.

E and baby A.  Love these girls.

M and twins W and O (We have A LOT of twins in our lives.)

A and J and P's best friend N.

P and M with N.

P was having a REALLY hard time with saying farewell to friends.

Farewells are hard and there are more to come.  Thanks to modern technology, we will still be able to "see" our friends and communicate regularly.  It won't be the same, but it is a comfort.
